(no subject)

This has been a day for entertaining visitors. quatorze's brother left this morning, rather sooner than I thought he would but it was nice to see him anyway.

Then a bit after the noon a friend came to talk over some club business. It turned out she was in need of a shoulder to cry on, or at least someone to talk to, she was seething when she came in, so I made us a pot of tea and talk we did. It did feel good to be able to help, even if there was nothing else really for me to do but to listen and sympathise. And in the end she left much pacified and not half as distressed as she was.
